So now it's 2001 and I don't see any murdering computers or monoliths anywhere (then again, I don't live in Seattle). What a rip-off.

Our New Year's Eve was uneventful; stayed at home and went to bed by 12:15am. Most of the day was spent watching the Iron Chef marathon; we were going to see Unbreakable but yours truly read the movie times wrong and we went to the wrong theater. Oops, maybe this weekend.

I just discovered, in redoing my archive pages, that I've been keeping this journal for a little over a year. Funny how in that first entry my big concern was getting my eyebrows done, and now I've got kids in my future. Eek is pretty much all I can say.

Holy cow, "I Will Follow" by U2 is on the radio! Most of the time, when a radio station around here plays early 80's, you'll hear the same twenty songs over and over until your ears bleed. One radio station, during its weekly "Time Warp Weekend" set, played "Suddenly Last Summer" by the Motels, and the DJ said "Wow...when was the last time you heard that song?" and I could honestly answer "Last week, when you played it then."

Give me Peter Schilling and Pete Shelley and Blancmange and Gene Loves Jezebel and Red Rockers. Give me Tracey Ullman singing "They Don't Know". Please.
