So today was eight hours of overtime (which went by pretty quickly) and shopping for stuff for Kitty's arrival tomorrow. (Mr. Medea's brother is going to bring her over.) I think we got everything we'll need right away - food, bowls, litter and litter box (and poop scoop), cat comb, cat carrier, a cat bed and some of those little bells in plastic cages that roll around on the floor and amuse Kitty until she knocks them down the heat register or something.
I'm very excited about our new arrival - I miss having a cat around. (I come from very strong Cat People. Our family's first cat was Phoebe; we got her when I was in kindergarten and she died the March before I graduated from college. Our second cat, Hannah, arrived the day before Christmas after I graduated from college.)
I read in my Entertainment Weekly today that a week from tomorrow, they're going to do a Behind The Music on The Monkees. yay!
