2001-05-22 - 5:36 p.m. So I am trying to figure out if I am a synesthete or not. For those've you who don't know, it's a condition where one's senses are blended - hearing colors and the like. Vladimir Nabokov had visual associations with each letter of the alphabet - C was light blue, E was yellow, T was pistachio green and so on. Since maybe second or third grade, I've had sort of the same thing going on, in a very, very, very limited way. It involves multiplication problems and goes something like this: 5 x 6 (or, obviously, 6 x 5) = 30 is blue and orange. 7 x 7 = 49 is purple 8 x 8 = 64 is pink it's only those three equasions that trigger any sort of immediate color reaction out of me, though. But they always trigger the same colors. I know, weird. Ah well.
